It appears Schumacher may have been forced off at Kübeler's request, however, as it looks likely that the Ferrari driver's motor home was caught on camera by the camera crew following Schumacher's departure, just before the German failed a mandatory fitness test at his home race track last weekend.

The race ended with an emphatic 11 minute race win for Ferrari after Schumacher was not able to pass a series of tests, including a speed test and a spin detector, during which he was caught on camera.

Ferrari confirmed they had suspended the 28 year-old for a week from running around Kübeler, a race he had been previously told he should be running.

The video comes months after reports that Schumacher and Ferrari's technical chief Stefano Domenicali were close friends and had worked together for some time before last week's tragedy.

"I don't think I'm going to be working in a Ferrari garage," Schumacher said, in comments obtained by Motor Sport.

"I have to start somewhere.

"If you ask me, I've worked together for a couple of years, and when it comes to mechanics, that's the only way I can feel free to be. And that's what we're going through.

"The thing is, I've had bad press. I don't think I'll feel that. Maybe it's because of the way we have to do things at Ferrari, something isn't quite right.

A few hours later, the Italian was in an altercation with two TV crew members who had followed him on camera from the track and were filmed berating him for what appeared to be a similar incident.

The clip was posted on YouTube, and the pair were filmed kicking and screaming at Schumacher while the driver sat on his driver seat during the outburst.

It appears he was still not in the car when the video of the attack was posted online, and he has yet to return to the track.
