Changing Scenario For Children
The beauty of it all is that it does not need to be hauled out of storage every time you have need for it. You can easily and quickly roll it up and stick it in the trunk or back seat. Then when the need arises, at night or even the day, you unroll it and finished; this way it is also always with you in case of emergencies.
Always clean the wheels and shine the tires. If your car has alloy wheels, dirt shows up more easily and makes them look dull. You can buy wheel cleaning products which remove the build up of brake dust, but if you clean them each time you wash your car, you should only need to use water and a cloth. When shining the tires, I always use a spray-on tire shine which is quick and easy to use. This not only keeps them looking like new, but protects them from the sun and makes the whole car look magnificent.
Take out the old seat car covers. Remove it from the seat bolts which are located just below the seats. Then take out the staples and if required tear apart the fabric. With the same procedure take out the front and back seat covers and also the head rest. The next thing is to remove the tracks below the seats. For this, you will require a screwdriver to un-screw the hog rings. This will finally help you to pull out the cover completely. While taking out the tracks remember you have to assemble it again. Therefore, mark the places carefully with a marker or chalk so that while reassembling them you can do it easily.
If it's OK to put the cover in the machine - which is the case with all covers I've seen - then it is best to soak them before putting them in the washing machine. Spray a gentle stain remover on it for about one hour. Afterward, put it in the washing machine on the cold cycle with a gentle detergent. Never use a detergent with bleach. Even if it is a "color safe bleach" detergent, it is best to just use a regular detergent. Car seat covers are delicate and any bleach may cause it to rip or tear.
Car covers use a lot of fabric; yards and yards of it, in fact. If you don't fold it neatly, how will you ever know the front from the rear? While you're trying to figure that out you're sliding it all over the car, potentially making more swirl marks and scratches.
Seat Car cover If you have a car cover or even two car covers, this could be helpful if you live in a rainy or dusty area. Even if you just keep the car cover in the trunk, you may never know when you will actually need it. But it is good to have just in case. I keep mine in a case in the trunk, and even though I've only had to use it maybe once or OffTrackBedding twice in my life, I was happy I had it. The two occasions I had to use it was for a very windy day, and when I had to park in an empty muddy lot to go to a county fair. Both times I was so happy I had a car cover!
Every month or so you should use a bug and tar removal product on the body of your car. There are many of these types of products available at most car care stores. A great product to go for is one which removes bugs, tar and other spots, while polishing the car's surface at the same time.
