2) Beliefs operate at the subconscious level. Most people are unaware of their subconscious beliefs, which are often in conflict with their conscious thoughts. For example, a woman may consciously be seeking love, but subconsciously she may feel she's unworthy. Unless her belief is made conscious and transmuted, it will continue to sabotage her efforts. See our last newsletter Get Out of Jail Free: How to Identify Unconscious Beliefs.

Friday, August 26th: Uproar Festival at Susquehanna Bank Center available. This year's Uproar doesn't have quite the same metal bite as last summer's, but headliners Avenged Sevenfold put on a killer show last time (read my review here) and will no doubt do the same this time around. Camden is a real haul from the city, but fans of bands like Seether, Bullet for My Valentine, and Three Days Grace are in for a fun-filled alt-rock day.

The interesting thing to me at the time was that my first experience with psychedelics was absolutely indescribable. I had no concepts to apply to what I was finding in my own being. Aldous Huxley gave me a copy of The Tibetan Book of the Dead. As I read it, I was amazed to find myself reading lucid, clearly articulated descriptions of the very experiences I was having with psychedelics. It was immensely confusing to me because The Tibetan Book of the Dead is 2500 years old. I had thought, in 1961,that I was at the leading edge of of the unknown. But here was an ancient text which revealed that Tibetan Buddhists already knew - 2500 years ago - everything I had just learned.

The person (or more likely computer) sifting the applications would have noted that and I was on the 'Send nice letter wishing best of luck' pile in the blink of an over-worked eye.

A coach therapy will make it clear than honesty is very important and while it may be difficult to walk away from someone or something, if they are going to be a barrier then they must go. The honesty will also apply to yourself and with careful consideration it will be possible to become the person you want to be.

Sometimes 'trying' or forcing an outcome isn't necessarily everyone's modus operandi. Working harder and harder, or applying will power to a problem could actually prevent you from getting a breakthrough. I'm not saying that determination, persistence and sheer bloody mindedness doesn't have it's place on the success ladder. But did you know that even when you are engaged in seemingly mindless activities which don't actually, on the surface, appear to be particularly productive (like cleaning your teeth or walking the dog for instance) your brain is still working?

Let them talk. Coaching other people does not necessarily mean doing all the talking. If you want to really understand where your clients are coming from, you need to give them the spotlight most of the time. Give them all the time they need to tell you everything that they are going through. This can help you get a clear picture of their problems or their goals.

Infidelity is one of the most hurtful things that can develop in an unhealthy relationship. Can a Marriage Counselor help a couple get through and overcome such an upsetting event? In most cases yes, but there are two 'but': first, the underlying causes and the unhealthy aspects of the relationship need to be addressed. Second, in the course of working through the Marriage Counseling process, the starting place usually is not with the marital relationship but the individual's personal relationship with themselves.

What is the difference between a successful person and a failure? It's certainly not one's better abilities, ideas or education. It is simply the Law of Action, the courage to take a calculated risk on one's self and put his idea's into action.

In neural feedback and brainwave training, otherwise known as biofeedback, instruments are attached which measure the brain waves and emit a sound. In this way we can train ourselves to return to that state. As said before, most meditation is spent in apha trance. With practice we can eventually learn to reach the apha trance by responding to the sound.

During lunch break, stand up and twist your back to the left and then to the right. Then, slowly raise your arms, interlock the fingers and life your heels off the floor, breathing normally all the while. Slowly come back to starting position. It will increase blood circulation and release stress.
