Ford and Baidu to start Joint Project

On Wednesday, Ford Motor Chinese and company firm Baidu, commonly known as"the Google of China" announced a two-year plan to further development of fully autonomous vehicles. Both companies plan on fitting Ford's experience in vehicles, together with Baidu's extensive study into the world of AI, to create automobiles that would have the ability to navigate with no driver. With every one of the companies already making complex in driverless car technology by themselves, it simply makes sense for the two industry titans to join forces. This new partnership comes after a previous announcement that the two companies were collaborating in June, and since the sales of Ford automobiles in China sink drastically. "This project marks a new milestone in the partnership between Ford and Baidu, and supports Ford's vision to design smart vehicles that transform how we get around." Stated Sherif Marakby, the CEO of Ford.

Level 4 Tech by the end of 2 Years

By the end of the tests, They claim that the vehicles will reach a level 4 technology in autonomous vehicle criteria; Level 4 being the 2nd highest, only topped by level 5, which involves cars that are able to operate without any input by a driver.
