Bedding Sets And Their Importance Rrn Your New "Home"
Last week I accompanied my news reporter friend to a seminar organized by a Baby Care Organization. It was mainly on Baby-Safety. An estimated 2, 500 new born babies die every year. The researchers found that many SIDS are caused due to suffocation by extra accessories like pillow, blankets etc. Here I'm presenting the views of expert pediatricians about crib sets for new parents.
First and foremost, be sure your crib is a standard size. Like full-size bedding, baby bedding is designed to fit a certain size crib. You might want to buy the bedding first and design the room around it - this will avoid clashes or impossible-to-match wallpaper and/or paint. Baby bedding should be made of durable, washable fabrics and be well-constructed. If you choose a crib that's neutral in color, it will be easier to coordinate the bedding with it.
While fixing your baby cribbing set for your kid make sure to keep a few basics in mind. Keep your baby's crib free of pillows if he/she is still quite young. A number of modern crib Bedding sets come with pillows but these are not advisable for young children whose heads are still soft and yet to take shape.
Typically, modern crib bedding sets come built in with a set of sheets (fitted, to ensure your baby's safety), a pillow, a sham, a comforter and of course, crib bumpers. If you are lucky you might also obtain a few extra pillows, laundry, bags or diaper holders along with those regular items.
If you have the option to purchase a bed in a bag set, then that would definitely be worth considering. These sets typically include the comforter, sheets, pillowcases, pillow shams and some even have the skirt to go around the box spring. These items are all packaged together in one bundle and by purchasing as a set you usually pay much less than purchasing them separately.
When it comes to fabrics cotton is a good choice because of its durability and ability to be easily cleaned. Another good choice is cotton and satin mixture which feels wonderful against the newborns skin. Flannel is good for keeping your baby well heated. You can also find textures like chenille, corduroy, and suede.
If you are planning to change the look of your bedroom, then you should also allot a budget for the other accessories that you intend to place inside your bedroom. Such accessories would include extra pillows or extra bedding.
