A paramedic from Wellington was struck and killed while working at a fire station in Whanganui on Sunday.

Two men have been arrested and have been charged with unlawfully killing Para Jarry in Hamilton and Whanganui.

Senior Inspector Mick Kelly of South East Coast Regional Crime Team said the two men, aged 30 and 43, were taken into custody at Whanganui police headquarters shortly after 1am on Monday morning.

They had been arrested in connection with the incident that occurred at the St George station in Whanganui around 3pm on Sunday.

Senior 바카라 Police Inspector Kelly said they admitted killing the man and they were released on bail on Tuesday evening.

He said the two men did not appear to pose a danger.

He said Para Jarry's family had visited them at the Whanganui police headquarters this morning and they were pleased with the outcome of the investigation.

He thanked the public for their continued support over the past 24 hours.
