For over 200 years guests Have enjoyed the hospitality offered at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern situated in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland in 1880, also stands at the exact same place now. Adding a third story and what's currently its present facade completed in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to flourish. Fast forward to 1954; no more made from logs but beautiful with a refurbished splendor for all to enjoy the Altland House was leased at this time by a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later bought by the Haugh household in 1972.
