Historical Inn and Tavern
For over 200 years guests Have enjoyed the hospitality given at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern situated in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was purchased by Robert Altland at 1880, also stands at the same location today. Including a third narrative and what is currently its current facade finished in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to prosper. Fast forward to 1954; no more made of logs but amazing with a refurbished splendor for all to enjoy the Altland House was rented at this time with a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later bought by the Haugh family in 1972.
Time Changes all Things
The first Berwick Room Was renamed Lulu's Grill where diners now may enjoy a plethora of culinary pleasures like turtle soup, also a menu staple for over 60 decades. Travelers will appreciate overnight lodging at the historic inn. Comfortable guest rooms and suites on the no-smoking home feature free WiFi, a fast start breakfast and eliminate package specials. The Underside restaurant provides casual dining with everything from chicken and waffles into quesadillas. Specialty nights such as Wine Night Tuesdays and live music on Friday nights enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike, provide the Altland House a ambiance that guests have enjoyed for centuries.

The on-site brewery, Center Square Brewing Delivers a unique return to background with their own chilly, Frothy craft beers which may be paired up with exciting nouveau menu things like Blackened Ahi Tuna, Grilled Chicken and Brie Wraps or Firecracker Shrimp Tacos.
