Historical Inn and Tavern
For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality given at the historic Altland House Inn and tavern located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally constructed in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland in 1880, and stands in precisely the same place now. Adding a third story and what is currently its current facade finished in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to prosper. Fast forward to 1954; no longer made from logs but amazing with a refurbished splendor for all to enjoy the Altland House was leased now with a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later purchased by the Haugh family in 1972.
