Full Tilt Versus PokerStars
Having played online poker for pretty much per year I've stood a chance to compare the two largest on-line poker sites. Both poker rooms offer a good amount of alternatives for MTT (multi-table tournament) poker players. I like both sites. There are a handful of small advantages that I see with Full Tilt:
1. Hand Replayer - The software on Full Tilt for replaying past hands is much superior on Full Tilt. It is MUCH faster than PokerStars. For some reason on PokerStars you must click through each card being dealt then antes, etc. It is very cumbersome and takes up valuable time when attempting to research a poker idn hand and take notes on your own opponents.
2. $2-$3 Tournaments: Sometimes you merely think that playing a small field (75-300 players) $2-$3 MTT to acquire some practice or construct your bankroll while minimizing your risk. These are simple to find on Full Tilt but you are nonexistent on PokerStars. I guess it is possible to just always play a SNG tournament of an similar size on PokerStars so this is not just a critical issue.
3. Sizing Tables: On Full Tilt Poker I am able to produce a table occupy my entire monitor if I desire. This is great if you aren't multi-tabling. I know it is difficult to trust, and not everybody multi-tables all the time. On PokerStars the tables use a fixed width and therefore are not able to fill my entire widescreen computer monitor.
The last two merchandise is not probably not major issues for some on-line poker players, but I do think that the higher software for replaying previous hands is usually a significant problem for many. I use both sites and will keep doing so. Full Tilt and PokerStars are respected inside online poker industry as evidenced through the huge variety of players playing on each site. Elite poker professionals have associated themselves with each site to lend further credibility. Both sites provide a full array of game selection and all the many types of poker can be found at every imaginable buy-in level.
For those players not ready to make the leap into playing poker the real deal money, you can find free games on both platforms. It is a wise decision to learn at no cost if you are a new comer to poker. In no-limit hold'em it is possible to lose a lot of cash quickly through either inexperience of a run of bad luck.
