Historic Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality offered at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern situated in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally constructed in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland at 1880, also stands in the same location now. Adding a third narrative and what is currently its current facade finished in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to prosper. Fast forward to 1954; no more made of logs but beautiful with a refurbished splendor for all to delight in the Altland House was leased at this time with a former waitress, Betty Haugh and her husband Tom later purchased by the Haugh family in 1972.

Time Changes all Things

The first Berwick Room Was renamed Lulu's Grill at which diners today may enjoy plenty of culinary delights like crab soup, also a menu staple for more than 60 years. Travelers will enjoy overnight accommodations at the historic inn.
