Historic Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality given at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was purchased by Robert Altland at 1880, also stands in precisely the same location now. Including a third narrative and what is now its present facade completed in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to prosper. Fast forward to 1954; no more made of logs but beautiful with a refurbished grandeur for all to delight in the Altland House was leased now with a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later bought by the Haugh household in 1972.

The first Berwick Room Was renamed Lulu's Grill where diners now may enjoy a plethora of culinary delights like turtle soup, a menu staple for over 60 decades.
